I was thinking that the scallops might turn rubbery in a chowder, you could prepare the chowder without the scallops and cook the separately and add before serving. It would be nice if work got done for the year.

dont know azzer.
Yes I added the scallops at the last few minutes of cooking--they were cooked perfectly, just the flavor combo was not quite right....needs more tweeeeking (need to figure out which herbs/flavors work better with scallops as opposed to clams and other fish that the 2 recipes I was combining used--not that I used all of both, just used them for the ideas of what should be in/out etc.)

Bradley is weird like that. We end classes on a Tuesday instead of a Friday. That way we get to our classes one last time. Doesn't make sense to me either. But that is how they do it.
Done with classes. At least for the next 2 weeks... Then I start up again on the 18th of May. /sigh

I'll be finished in a few months myself. My first test actually starts on Tuesday, out of the 11 in total. Can't wait until I'm finished there and in college though. :3 As a little extra, drunks are funny to laugh at - especially when you've got someone singing to Rock Band Beatles at the top of his voice, that sounds scarily... I don't know, just saying "I AM THE EGGMAN!".

Saw date night. Everyone thought it was hilarious but honestly it had funny parts, not worth seeing it in theaters.

I will probably see Ironman 2 in theaters but that is about it. Not big on the whole theater scene. I don't mind waiting for it to come out on DVD. Better that way cause I can rent it first therefore if I don't like it I'm not out of 9 bucks.

Ahh yes, renting movies is great. Especially if you rent them from Redbox or a similar service where it's only a dollar a day.

havent rented a movie in......hm.....lets see....more than 10 years.
then again I only got cable in 1996 so I was happy as a clam then to watch stuff that I hadnt been able to previously (only got cable because there was no reception where we lived--eg no regular tv even with a good antenna)...
so now we either buy movies or just wait for them to come out on cable....I am very patient for that kind of stuff. (I NEVER saw a reason to see a movie the day, week or even MONTH it came out)...
making pizza for dinner, yum!

I guess I should clarify "renting"
I have waited for movies to come out on cable before because I didn't think they were worth renting. It happens and I usually end up forgetting about it until it says it will be on TV. Then I remember and watch it, sometimes lol

The last time I went to the movies it was to see the second "Lord of the Rings" movie. My wife is always renting movies, but I seldom watch them. She bought "Avatar" and loved it, I think I will take the time to watch that one.

when avatar comes to my own tv (for the cost of my reg cable ) I will watch it, I have no plans to buy it, rent it or otherwise get to see it before then (I was not impressed by the previews etc).....some movies I will buy because my husband likes the extras on the dvd (the people talking over the movie---I find it annoying but hey).....others I just want to have (anything with patrick stewart --even just the bit part he had in the last xmen), and since I have the whole collection of star trek movies, I got the newest one for xmas (so I didnt buy it ).
(saw the 2nd and 3rd? LofR movies while I lived in japan---now you want an expensive movie ticket--try $20! I went on the cheap ladies days when they were only $10)
now I want some popcorn...way to go.

Regular popcorn with sugar? Gross... I have never had Jelly Been popcorn. I have only had regular popcorn and kettlecorn. I can handle kettlecorn in small amounts but I can't eat it day after day.

kettlecorn is great stuff (it does have some sugar--you can get the orville smart pop type which has much less)....cant eat popcorn every day either (sister calls it plopcorn due to its effects on the digestive system). Jelly Belly's are jelly beans--not popcorn, they are flavored and one of the flavors is popcorn, others are stuff like fruits (apple, strawberry) things like pina colada and root beer (that one is pretty good too), some I really dont like like coconut --never liked coconuts to begin with so this would follow. Still think the toasted marshmallow is my favorite....miss being able to eat that kind of stuff sometimes.
